This is one of my non-judged entries for DDRExtreme.co.uk's Cheesemix 4.

David Hasselhoff. The man needs no introduction. He sang a song about freedom on top of the Berlin Wall as it was coming down... WHILE WEARING A LIGHT UP SUIT. Hassel is the king of cheese, pure and simple. This is a dance remake of one of his tunes.

The step charts are all centered around the idea of "doing the limbo dance" when David Hasselhoff sings about it. Each difficulty features a different setup, all built around freezes, to which the player can experience the "limbo dance" first-hand. Of course, you won't really be limbo dancing until the Oni steps, but I'm getting ahead of myself.

Light is not terribly surprising, save a spot in the middle. I make a lot of use of mirroring and long quarter-note chains. The limbo dance is a series of LRL or RLR quarter-note freezes, and the ending run is a lengthened version of that.

Standard I think is very fun. I made use of lots of jumps, freezes, and blue notes to put together something energetic, but not overly difficult. The limbo dance is a series of jump-freezes with alternating or circular insert steps.

Heavy features lots of 16ths that follow the vocals, not to mention jump-freezes a-plenty and longer streams. The steps also take advantage of some of the more intricate rhythms and melodies in the song. I tried to keep everything balanced, but I know there will be sections that people don't like. That's why this one isn't judged. The limbo dance is a series of 4 or 6 Afronova run-styled quarter-note freezes. This means that, yes, you'll have to turn sideways in order to do them properly. They're very easy, all things considered, so go ahead and try them out!

Oni should be considered an ITG 10, not a DDR 10. I don't really know much about ITG ratings, but I figured that was a nice round number to reflect the difficulty above what Stepmania reports. So, for once, this is really the chart that I concentrated on the most. THIS is the "limbo dance". Like the people in the background, you'll be bending over backward if you want to do this file properly. The limbo dance steps consist of an UL or UR jump-freeze with D and L insert steps, meaning you'll be standing on the up arrow and bending back to hit the hands; the limbo dance stance. Yes, it's gimmicky, and it probably isn't as playable as I think, but dammit, this was what I wanted. Aside from the ending and the very first quad, there aren't any other hands to worry about outside the limbo dance. There are a lot of jumps and gallops that go with and around the song, however, so I expect this to be pretty challenging. And since it's my first (well, second) real foray into ITG-style steps (I got a lot of inspiration from Mungyodance, if that's any indicator), it's not gonna be perfect.

The graphics [s]were a pain[/s] turned out quite a lot better than I'd imagined. I rather like how the background turned out, but I'm not fully happy with the banner. I think I just got fed up with it after a while. The background image I found via GIS at http://www.halloween-costume-ideas.org/costume/HOLIDAY.html, and the Jamaican flag can be found at Wikipedia.

Thanks go out to Super Ray for play-testing this, especially the Oni chart.

Be warned, it features some serious Hasselhoff crotch. >.<
